Portland Citizens Brass Band Facility Upgrades

This project would allow for some major facility upgrades within the existing Portland Citizens Brass Band Hall. The focus would be on two main areas; the upgrading of the filing system used in the music library including shelving, filing cabinets, purchase of a selection of new music, the purchase of a computer and implementation of an improved administration system; and the purchase of a purpose built trailer to be used to transport instruments and other equipment to and from performances. Both of these aspects will greatly benefit all members in the day to day running of the band.

The Portland Citizens Brass Band consists of approximately 30 local musicians who volunteer their time to serve the community. The current library set up requires a new filing and shelving system for sheet music storage. Members would also benefit from having access to a computer administration system on location. Currently, the band owns a covered in trailer that is used for transportation, however it is in desperate need of repairs. The purchase of a new purpose built trailer would allow members to safely transport instruments and equipment for years to come.
