Nillumbik Youth Productions is a youth-led community arts organisation that will use funding to purchase theatre and AV equipment so the arts community has the ability to perform in a variety of locations.
Mobile equipment would allow us a range of facilities in Nillumbik. There are many community arts and music groups who would benefit from this equipment.
The funding will also be used for a gathering space in the Hurstbridge Hall Foyer. Permission has been granted from Council to furnish the space and create a photographic exhibition that will show the importance of this hall to the community.

NYP has a mission to provide a place for the community to explore the arts. This will open up new experiences and a safe, welcoming and fun space to learn new skills and enjoy the arts. It’s in line with the priority from the 2017 Northern Assembly that outlines, “giving young people a place to feel connected, healthy and respected in the community by embracing arts and culture”.
NYP will be custodians of the equipment and charge community users a nominal fee to cover insurance and maintenance costs. We will train members of the local community to use the equipment.

There is so much local talent that providing a forum for them to perform and also a low cost venue for people to meet and enjoy would be a wonderful asset to the local community..
