'Pop Up Games Set'

The Health Promotion Staff in Moira recognize that there is a need to promote healthy lifestyle choices in a way that is fun and engaging for local residents. I plan to develop three kits of giant games and activities that can be lent out to community groups or businesses in the Moira Shire wishing to promote active lifestyles at their event. While the kits will engage residents of all ages and incorporate aspects of exercises as well as demonstrating healthy diet choices, they will specifically be aimed at encouraging children to learn about healthy lifestyle choices.

Moira region is a fantastic place to live and is a popular tourist destination for people doing outdoor activities. Despite this, it is well documented that there is an issue with obesity and insufficient exercise amongst residents of all age groups in Moira. The Pop Up Games Set will be available for anyone wishing to include easy, fun activities at their event. This may be at school fetes, lifestyle events, swap meets, cultural events or school holiday programs. The games kits will also encourage residents to meet members of their regional community health team.
