Playground & Sports Facility Upgrade in Lakewood, Frankston - (KPPS)

This project seeks to rejuvenate existing play equipment, sporting and recreation areas to provide a range of inviting play spaces for local children.

Through outdoor play children build confidence, resilience and motor skills. I want to encourage children in the local community to be active outdoors and provide a safe space for families to do this.

I want to make sure that the facilities available for children to use on the grounds in and outside of school times are safe, protected from the sun and sufficiently challenging and engaging for a range of play activities.

Kingsley Park Primary School keeps their fences low, ensuring the grounds are inviting and accessible. It is centrally located, providing not only a school for local children, but also an outdoor space where many families come to play.

As there are few other play areas within the community, this project seeks to re-develop the school’s outdoor play, sporting and recreation facilities in order to encourage more families to use this space, while also upgrading and providing a range of accessible, safe and challenging facilities for the local community and school children to use.
