Playground Equipment

The aim of this project is to build a play space for the local and visiting kids to play on at our local sporting ground. It will be available to all children in the area at all times but will mostly be utilised on weekends when local sport is played at the grounds. Currently nothing like this exists and the kids play in the surrounding scrub area but this is particularly dangerous for the younger children as they often disappear from parent/guardian supervision. We really want an area where the kids can play safely, interacting and building their imaginations.

Our community gathers at this sporting ground most weekends, its our rural towns social interaction and important for the physical and mental health of all. Currently families need to bring their own toys and chase their kids into the surrounding scrub. A safe space where the kids can play is great for them and their parents/guardians. It would also create a great area where people can gather during the week as the facilities would accommodate everyone. Kids can play with each other or their friends and family and others are able to train or enjoy a social outing.
