This project will bring new life to Pitcher Park, a central part of the Alphington/ Fairfield community. Updating the current tired, dangerous, old fence will improve the experience and accessibility of Pitcher Park, a sporting ground and recreation area used by all members of the local community including girls, boys, adults and pets alike.
The project includes:
- New high quality, black chain wire fence with bottom and top railings with pedestrian and vehicle gates;
- New timber seating and tables strategically placed around the perimeter to enrich the spectator and BBQers experience
Pitcher Park is a central meeting place for community sporting and cultural activities. It's a central part of the local community fabric and caters to thousands of boys, girls and adults everyday all year round; be that a beautiful Sunday afternoon lazing under a tree with your dog or a cool winters friday night with hundreds of kids playing Auskick. The current fence is dangerous and in disrepair and there is a gross lack of seating. Such a pivotal place in the community deserves good quality, safe and aesthetically pleasing fencing and park furniture to enrich the park experience.
