Formidable Vegetable Sound System (FVSS), in conjunction with The Farmer's Place, will provide incursions in Permaculture and music to schools in the Geelong area. Through attending the Perma-Youth Camp in Timor-Leste, FVSS will experience successful application of Permaculture within their school curriculum and infrastructure. Upon return to Australia, FVSS will collaborate with the ResourceSmart School program to provide school incursion programs in Geelong schools. These will include workshops in the principles of Permaculture, hands on activities, song writing and a performance by the band. These incursions will be available to all Geelong schools and open to the wider school community.
Children are the future of our planet and are primed for learning and creative thought. We are facing many challenges as a community, and Permaculture and its broader principles of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share is a positive and achievable set of ideas that can be implemented in a myriad of ways to enable us to flourish as happy and successful communities. By introducing this to the upcoming adults and leaders of our communities, we hope to inspire joy and contentment and a positive outlook, so that we may indeed be led towards a sustainable future for all.
