Our club is diverse and multicultural – with over 460 members represented. We would like to provide facilities for our female players who are growing in numbers and teams. Currently our female players do not have the facilities to change prior to or post games. We believe allocation of funds to our project will assist in meeting current player/club needs and state and federal government strategies. We also believe this project aligns strongly with Council's Strategy, which details growth in female participation in historically male dominated sports.
New female club teams continue to be established and this trend is expected to continue as more and more leagues, competitions and clubs establish dedicated girl's and women's teams and competitions. We believe sport provides significant benefits for individuals and communities both directly and indirectly. These benefits include individual health and wellbeing, satisfaction and engagement in community life, community pride in volunteering and efficient use of economic and government resources with reduced poor health, absenteeism and anti-social behaviour. Sport also provides significant economic benefits by creating employment to build and operate facilities.

Keep Pearcedale's Women's footy alive and kicking goals - a fantastic lift to the community spirit.
A must need for our club which is embracing woman’s footy on every age level!
This upgrade will help keep and attract women to play the game we all love .
This project is much needed for our town.
A much needed up grade with 100 junior female footballers and 22 senior women footballers now at our club 🏉🏉🏉
Change rooms are exactly the same as they were in the 70’s when my husband played footy. Badly needs upgrading.
Much needed upgrade for ALL players.
With the growth of participation the infrastructure needs to be able to keep up with the needs
This is a no brainer. Needed to bring club facilities up to 21st century standards to meet all footy players needs.
This is a no brainer in today’s society
Regardless of women’s football becoming more popular these club rooms these rooms are not up to scratch and are in need of a major refurbishment!!
Definitely a worthwhile project.
Rooms were built in early 60s with no concept of female participation. The facilities are not conducive to modern expectations or requirements
Is a growing community, which is often bypassed
Definitely needed with all the interest in WOmens football
This upgrade is desperately needed
It would be great to know the young women in our lives who have chosen to play AFL can have the same privacy rights as the great young men in our lives!!!
There is absolutely no privacy for male or female in the current changerooms, extremely outdated. 1 toilet for 100’s of players.
So many girls at out club now we desperately need this upgrade
Yes the girls need the privacy
This would be so beneficial to everyone who uses the change rooms in the club
This would be a very much appreciated upgrade, as it is greatly needed.
Much needed upgrade. Very worthy nomination.
