Peace March is a major performing arts work, collaborating with New York artist Claire Chase, Speak Percussion musicians and members of the community. The project involves massed community musicians playing together with professional artists in a performance march through community spaces, reminiscent of protest marches or freedom rallies. It will draw links between these marches and the marches of today, exploring contemporary issues and witnessing the increase in the belief of people power.

In Peace March, community participants will be an integral part of the development and performance of the work. The project has the opportunity to engage with a broad and diverse range of community members including student musicians and RSL bands and community marching bands and orchestras, all working together.

There are a huge number of possibilities to perform this work within the local community, at local festivals and events, public spaces as well as arts and cultural venues.

It also allows community members to collaborate with professional musicians and actively contribute to the development of a new performance work.
