Panton Hill is a small, semi rural community currently with no access to an all weather recreation space. My idea is that the existing old asphalt basketball court at the Primary School be resurfaced with markings for various sports and covered for use in all weather. This facility would be available for use by all community members, local sporting groups and of course the Primary School.
Currently there is nowhere in Panton Hill where the local community (families and community groups) can gather in all weather conditions. The school is a focal point of the community whose outdoor facilities are used out of school hours. The new Community Recreation Space would allow the community to have a facility available in all weather conditions.
We have no public transport available and are isolated from other suburb’s sports facilities. This makes it difficult for the young people in the area to practise/train/play.
Some of our local sporting teams such as the netball team currently drive to another suburb

This would be a wonderful addition to the Panton Hill Community.
The local community, school and sports clubs would definitely benefit from this development to the school ground space, an all year round facility for our Panton Hill township.
This would be a wonderful space for the local community, sporting groups and school to utilise when weather conditions are poor.
