Outdoor Basketball Court Resurfacing

The court area at Boronia West Primary School has a wide range of uses such as basketball court, netball court, and bicycle education area. The area is used by many groups as well as the school. These groups include basketball & netball teams that use it for training, local fitness and boot camp groups, and local residents.
The area provides a great safe space for young families to bring children to learn to ride bikes and various sports. The space is accessible to all members of the community outside of school hours. But is in need of repair.

This project will ensure the courts are in a condition that makes them suitable and safe to use for many years to come. It will encourage the local community to remain active by providing an easily accessible large area for various physical activity. As more and more medium density housing is being built in the surrounding area this space is vital in providing a safe open space for locals to use without having the dangers that can come from sharing the space with motor vehicles.
