Our Little Kitchen

My vision is to create a Mobile-Kitchen Truck to visit local schools and provide students with free education, skills and ingredients in healthy eating. Children will prepare their own nutritious lunches that they will be able to eat and enjoy.

We will liaise with schools to provide healthy cooking sessions, where students will learn first hand topics such as healthy food choices, nutrition for health and growth and how to build a healthy lunch box. An educator who is a curriculum expert will provide the teachers and schools with a program that matches the Victorian Curriculum in Health and Wellbeing.

School-age children in the Frankston/Mornington Peninsula areas come from a variety of socio-economic households and may not have the opportunity to eat breakfast before school or have a nutritious lunch during the day.

Our vision is to educate students in positive eating habits and provide them with free healthy ingredients to give them the opportunity and confidence to prepare and cook their own food.

This will be a whole school project which will uphold each students’ dignity, where no child will be singled out. Every student will be a participant and enjoy a nutritious meal which they have prepared.
