Osbornes Flat PS is in the unique position of being the current end point for the Beechworth to Osbornes Flat Rail Trail. We want to maximize this opportunity to provide our students, the community and cycling visitors with a modern, safe and exciting natural playground and picnic area. The centrepiece would be the pictured play structure. Through our own fundraising efforts we have now committed funds and voluntary labor to constructing the surrounding natural playground. Our local Council has also committed funds to an upgrade of our access road and car park which will further enhance this community resource.
Placing Osbornes Flat PS on the map of the Rail Trail development put us in prime position to offer the wider community and visitors a place to park, use our picnic tables, refill water bottles and enjoy our nature themed playground. With the Rail Trail linking Osbornes Flat with Yackandandah it also offers local children and their families safe access by bike or foot to the playground and we anticipate many local children using the facilities outside school hours. Of course the benefit to our students will be immense, as deteriorated equipment is replaced with a safe play structure

Hoping to have this project approved, small schools don't get enough funding :)

So true Andy, Its a shame that most schools have to beg for every penny.
