The key features of the project are ; - a purpose built splash zone - new water play features, spray jets and fountains - renewal to the sides of the existing toddler pool - connection to the already funded solar water heating project - vibrant and improved shade sails. The upgraded toddler pool and splash zone will be accessible to all ages and all abilities.
Olinda Pool has been through an amazing renewal - except for our little toddler pool.
This project will upgrade the toddler pool, the shade sails, and build a splash zone for water play including jets & fountains. Increasing the pool's popularity for all ages, whilst improving the safety of water play for the very youngest is our desire.
Adding this upgrade will boost the attendance to the pool, further broaden the entire facility's appeal, and strengthen the connection to the adjacent Olinda Precinct Plan.
Valuable outdoor recreation time will be a direct community outcome, alongside increased community engagement.

Supporting such a wonderful project that benefits the health and wellbeing of the wider community is what every project is ultimately trying to achieve. This is one such project. Upgrading the space and providing respite (and fun) on those hot, sunny days in the Hills would be greatly appreciated for young and old.

The Olinda Pool is such an important part of our community. I would be so excited to bring the children in my life and share the new play area with them if this were successful.

A wonderful area full of amazing locations and views that attract people from near and far, truly a Victorian gem.
This project to upgrade and improve the toddler pool will add to and enhance the work already completed by the locals, with the support of the Yarra Ranges Council, in creating this great family oriented place.
Nothing is as important as these welcoming community gathering spaces.

I used to live in Kalorama my children are now grown up but they used to live at the pool in summer. I still go to the pool with the children and grandchildren. It is one of the only outside pools left thanks to the local community who have rallied around when the council tried to close it a few times. It is a great meeting place for children and adults. Updating the toddlers pool will encourage more people to attend this beautiful unique pool

I truly wish something like this was around when my kids were young, this needs to happen. The earlier we create and subject children to safe, fun outdoor play the greater the long term benefits.
