I would love to see this dangerous surface made safe. For all the children and staff using the area, it needs
to me made safe.

The upgraded courts will be accessed by;
Old Orchard Primary School Students. 480 students with a dedicated Physical Education teacher and program.
Local community is encouraged to use our school grounds on weekends and holidays as all outdoor spaces remain accessible to the public. Our recently refurbished oval frequently provides play, practise and training spaces for our neighbours and local community.
Several local clubs currently make regular use of this multi purpose court space. These include Old Orchard Netball Club, Koonung Park Tennis Club and Vikings Basketball Club. (All clubs looking to expand registered player numbers)
Our multi purpose court is in very poor condition. The surface is slippery and when wet, very dangerous. There are also significant cracks that have created an uneven surface which is hazardous. Resurfacing would encourage increased participation in physical activity, provide the community with dedicated training spaces and increase safety for those using the courts. Along with the resurfacing of the court, including new line marking and the installation of a rebound wall, the community would have a safe area to practise their sports. The addition of a rebound wall enables students and the community to refine their skills.

Much needed. The court is very slippery after rain due to dirt/mud runoff from the Park. Well due for a facelift. The kids and community will all be happy.

This would be a fantastic upgrade to our school for all the many sporting events the kids currently use in this space. From the tennis use and to the netball club aswell. I really hope moving forward this opportunity is successful for the health and fitness and safety of our school children who use this space everyday.
