Two new netball courts are proposed for Nyah Recreation Reserve. However, there is insufficient funds to install lighting over the courts. New lighting poles to provide 200lux illumination is required by Netball Victoria to enable players to train and compete in night matches alongside the football teams. Without the lights, players will not be able to use the new courts.

This project will benefit a wide range of community members providing safe & compliant netball facilities for everyone to use. Court lights will allow the Club to continue to participate in the Central Murray FN League. This will result in community members being provided with health, fitness & social wellbeing opportunities in a low socio-economic area of the municipality.
We have nine grades of netball (almost 100 players) with ages from 8yrs & over - new lights will entice new players & increase female participation.
Lights will enable other community groups to use the space (Music festivals, Markets, fitness groups).
