Nullawil is a small rural town and a gateway to the Mallee - situated on the busy Calder Highway, with approximately 500,000 vehicles passing through the town annually. We want to utilise existing community assets to promote our town and increase tourism. Our idea is for a commissioned artist to paint our grain silos and to develop the area to incorporate vehicle parking and park benches to make it more attractive to stop. We will also include tourist information on the Silo Art trail and other general attractions.
Painting the town’s silos will create a destination, providing a reason for people travelling through our town to stop, positively impacting our town and the broader Mallee region economy.
This project will unite the community which has experienced droughts and population decline over recent decades.
Celebrating Nullawil’s community spirit as artwork on the silos will add to the town’s sense of pride and showcase the greatness of small rural communities.
This project will reinvigorate our town and put Nullawil back on the map.

This would be great for our small community. Situated mid-way between Melbourne and Mildura a perfect place for tourists to stop and enjoy our wonderful town. Great idea. Go Nully.

If ever a town deserves a government lift this one is a given. This small community provides wonderful opportunities for citizens of all ages to go about their daily lives assisted by fellow citizens who go out of their way to provide such necessary support whenever needed whether it be socially, economically, welfare or on the sporting fields. Go Nully!

The silo trail is great for bringing in travellers to small country towns. Hope the travellers support the local communities at the same time too.

I have done the Silo art Trail through the Mallee to date and taken people from overseas as far away as Russia and they have adored them. This would add not just to that Trail but also be a fabulous addition to the Township and a great site as you travel past on this Highway, where-as many of the others are out of the way to see them. Great suggestion!

Along with other small projects in the area, this will bring visitors from all over particularly bus tours of senior citizens from larger metropolitan and regional centres.

This would be fantastic as it can loop with the other's and bring life into not only Nullawil it will other towns on the calder, many more should happen on the calder and this would be a great start
