A community Arts hub providing studio/co-working spaces for artists, cultural practitioners in the north to create a thriving centre for creativity and artistic enterprise:
• Artists’ studio space
• Gallery space
• Retail Arts space
• Cultural Exchange where community members can learn from artists
• Musicians’ corner
• performance space – simple stage an temporary seating for community use
It’s a place where artists share resources, ideas, skills, talents and work together to create exhibits, performances, sharing their skills with community members. The project is in partnership with the Brotherhood of St Laurence (BSL) and Multicultural Arts (MAV).

At both MAV’s Cultural Leadership Gathering and Whittlesea’s Unconference, local artists highlighted the need for a community arts hub in the outer north. Since then, 167 artists joined the new Creative Art Practitioners of Whittlesea (CAPOW) and BSL hosted the Emerge in the North Arts Exhibition, involving over 60 multicultural artists, all calling for an Arts Hub. There is a severe shortage of community spaces to house ongoing studio and artistic practice. This space is designed to create exciting arts and community cultural exchanges generating shared artistic projects, also recognising that artists can become socially isolated when working from home.

A great idea to bring communities who can no longer live in their birth country to keep dance, art and culture passing onto the younger generations.

What am exciting venture to have an all in one stop shop that covers all aspects of art for all art lovers from beginners to professionals. ART is the word, so let's spread it far and wide. To have such a venue within our own backyard this community will thrive and enjoy the spoils. I'm In! #Vote the the Northern Arts Hub.

What an exciting initiative. The location is so central with easy access to public transport. The pop up nature of the proposal makes this an extremely cost efficient way to reach many people as well as providing another opportunity for communities to come together
