Nine Creeks Walking Track Pedestrian Bridge

This project will construct a purpose built pedestrian bridge to cross a creek on Dimboola's Nine Creeks Walking Tracks.
The Nine Creeks Walking Track project features approximately 5km of all weather walking tracks and this project will see the construction of a pedestrian bridge to cross one of the creeks that can at times be slippery and dangerous to users. The new bridge will significantly increase safety to all users irrespective of their ability.
The walking tracks are well utilised by local residents and visitors to Dimboola and provide a unique environmental and heritage experience whilst improving fitness and wellbeing.

The Nine Creeks Walking tracks were constructed by Dimboola residents as a community project to link the Business District, Wimmera River, Recreation Reserve and Riverside Holiday Park.
Accessibility from various points in Dimboola provides opportunities for a broad range of demographics to utilise them.
The construction of a pedestrian bridge over the creek will significantly improve safety for all users but particularly cyclists, parents pushing prams, and people in mobility scooters.
The bridge will enable all users to access the full length of track rather than those sections that do not require the traversing of the steep creek bed.
