The 2009 Master Plan for Riddells Creek Recreation Reserve proposed that 9 hard courts be constructed over 3 Stages. Stage 1 incorporating three hard courts was completed in May 2013. Stage 2 proposes increasing the footprint to six with the construction of three new tennis hard courts to accommodate the tennis club's increasing membership and competition demands. Juniors and Seniors competitions and coaching lessons access the courts on most days of the week. The courts are also available to the local primary school for their sport development programs. Access to the general public is also being considered.
The Stage 2 Hard Courts Project will provide both economic and social benefits beyond the construction phase to the Riddells Creek community. It is anticipated that the club's professional tennis coaching staff will increase from two to three or more. Currently 80 people (children and adults) undertake professional lessons, it continues to grow. We anticipate significant growth by at least 25% with three more tennis courts. Increased population growth in the region should deliver greater benefits over time as access to expanded modern community facilities will have considerable social benefits and are critical in maintaining community identity and wellbeing.

Great idea good luck
Hardest working committee in Victoria - great work for the health and wellbeing of Riddells Creek
Awesome! The Club has worked hard for several years to complete stage one. Having the project completed will be such a community asset, not just for the tennis club, but for netball, basketball and other user groups. Good luck!
As a player I would like to see more courts so that we don't need to share them with other sports
Good luck RCTC, we really do need these courts. The demand for their use is increasing and the town is growing.
What a fabulous idea - best of luck to the RCTC

While the tennis courts were used competitively in the 1950s, insufficient work has been done on them during the period of the town's rapid growth.
