Since the early 1970's the dutiful wooden scorebaord at Brentwood Reserved has kept score for close to 50 years. With 15 junior football teams (including 3 girls teams) in the Eastern Football League in 2018, the Glen Waverley Rovers scoreboard needs to catch up with the times. Too small for most to see across the other side of the ground, especially during late afternoon and twilight games, the Rovers would love to see a modern electronic scoreboard that can be managed from the relative comfort of the clubrooms next to the timekeepers for score integrity.
A junior club nearing its 50th year of existence the Glen Waverley Rovers Junior Football Club has and continues to be an integral part of the Glen Waverley community. At a time when a lot of community AFL club numbers are dwindling, the Rovers continue to attract players (male and female) because of our commitment to the children of our area to provide a safe and nurturing sporting environment that promotes the values of Strength, Unity and Belief. Our motto of 'Where Mates Matter' is lived through our shared behaviours. Our resources need to meet the demands of our Club.

I’ve been involved with the club for about 18 years, it’s a great place with a great culture. Over this time they’ve applied for several grants to upgrade the facilities, everytime the money has been put to good use for the betterment of the wider community, this time will be no different.
