New nets

Our nets are in major need of an upgrade and we are in need of new cricket matting in the nets also. We have had average nets for a long time. As a committee we have been working our backside off to build our bank balance up for new nets. Our teams - both A grade and B grade - made finals for the first time in nine years. I believe out standards have to be good and I don’t feel we can be our best with the current situation we have with our poor-conditioned nets.

The local community will benefit as I feel we can get more people interested in cricket down this way. We struggle to get people to come to training just because we are lacking the facilities that other clubs around the town have. This is where I feel we can gain an advantage on or at least be on par with other surround clubs/sports.
