As mountain biking booms in Bright, our old trail map and beginner trail located near houses needs a rethink. And with the popular 'Pump Track' scheduled for harvest next year, the time is ripe for us to relocate our trail head and beginner trail to Rotary Pines. Our idea is to regenerate that space by creating a new 'Green' level mtb trail, improve drainage, new plants, and build a rest shelter with trail maps near Dougherty's Bridge. The result will be a more beautiful, less swampy, community space that connects to both Mystic Park and the Morses Creek Trails.

This project will benefit the community in a number of ways:

1. Beginner trails provide a safe place to learn to ride and for families to safely enjoy.

2. Our current beginner trail will get damaged during harvesting, and instead of rebuilding it, we would like to use this opportunity to build a new one away from the residential area.

3. Our current trail map signs are out-of-date. So it's the perfect time to redesign and relocate the trail head to a better location.

4. New plants, drainage and rest area will create a more beautiful space for the community.

I fully support this project. Riders of all ages and skill levels deserve great trails to ride on. Improving the rest area will make it nicer to just hang out at.

This would be wonderful. My son is a regular user and volunteer in maintaining the track with the club. It's the local riders passion and loved by thousands of riders and visitors. Great way to encourage the young ones to get outdoors ,stay fit and love the local surrounds with family and friends.

Much needed upgrade to continue and maintain the Mountain biking infrastructure for the town. Locals and visitors will receive long term benefit from this upgrade by revitalising a pretty ugly, degraded area and making it readily accessible to a wide range of people.

We live in Bright and also own accommodation and manage a few holiday houses .Our kids are beginner MTB as am I and its so important to have easier tracks for the kids/adults to learn on and get their confidence .Most of our guests come to Bright to MTB and or Road ride so this new track would be very important to those guests who choose to visit Bright as they can choose what level they want to ride at and are not restricted .

Our kids all began mountain biking at the pump track and now we frequently visit bright to continue riding as they advance in ability . I would hope other families get the benefit of a replacement . Mountain biking is the main reason our family and many others spend tourism dollars in the beautiful township . It’s essential we continue to recruit new kids to this great sport .

As a previous mountain bike event organiser I highly recommend more beginner MTB tracks in Bright. Many families come to Bright to enjoy cycling. Beginner tracks are in short supply but they are greatly desired by family groups and beginners. The pump track is a great example and it’s loss will be regretted. More beginner tracks please!

Projects like this are absolutely necessary to maintain and expand our current network. This allows The Alfred 6 Hour to continue to offer diverse race courses. Get behind this great initiative!

This project is very important to Bright as it will encourage more riders to use the Mystic MTB Park and therefore add more visitors to the area.
