Working with individuals, schools and community groups to build momentum toward a spectacular life changing event which will attempt to break through the significant social isolation experienced by individuals and families across all age spectrums in one of Victoria's most disadvantaged localities.
The event will engage participants to develop a set of strategies and solutions to further build community and reduce isolation.
There will be three stages in this community project:
1. Working with schools & community groups seeking to build community relations
2. Neighbour Day- a fun, free spectacular environmentally sustainable event to offer residents the opportunity to interact and create new pathways of friendship, community and hope. Recognising social isolation and lack of financial security are key issues within our community, this day will offer opportunities for community groups and services to reach out and support the whole community
3. Use event to create future strategies for local, state government and community groups to combat social isolation.

This is a vital day for the Capel Sound community and local areas around it showcases local talent within the Community from all ages.Participation opens the eyes of locals to see opportunities that are available within the community.It is wonderful to see families together with children sharing the activities and day.This a brilliant concept when other projects focus on particular skills only.

I have been to a couple of these events.. soooo many people benefit from this day event.. fun, meeting locals, entertainment, education and so much more.... well and truely deserves this money.. it will be well spent!!
