Narre Warren North Fire Brigade Realistic Training Equipment Grant

Currently the Narre Warren North Fire Brigade only has equipment that has been thrown together some number of years ago to try to simulate a real person, but they are just an old pair of overalls stuffed with fabric and sandbags. This doesn’t provide the realistic feel that firefighters need to train efficiently and effectively. We would like to purchase through the help of this grant 6 life like rescue dummies which come in varying sizes and weights to help us better simulate real fires and incidents. Having this equipment to train with will make us more efficient and skilled.

The benefit it will give the local communities around the Narre Warren North Fire Brigade is that they will have better skilled fire fighters ready to deploy to any type of incident or fire as we will be able to have more realistic training and be able to drill on real life events and situations instead of using the thrown together equipment we currently have. This then equips us with the skills to practice everything that could happen in a car accident or house fire and make us better and more efficient and skilled to protect you and your property.
