Hall is used to provide a hot meal fortnightly to elderly citizens by Narrawong Old Timers volunteer group and an upgraded kitchen would make this possible to supply hot healthy meals. Functions could also be held at the hall without requiring food vans to be present or bring in take away type foods to the Hall users. A kitchen would make community fundraising ventures more viable.
The general store closed 16 months ago and the community hall is now the only meeting place in Narrawong and is used by a number of groups providing fitness, craft and other activities for the community along with local community groups meeting to discuss community activities and needs. In addition to groups having get togethers for various age groups and fundraising events. Fundraising to maintain and improve the hall and carry out improvements in the community. Events etc are limited due to kitchen not being compliant with the various health codes.

The Narrawong Playgroup are a regular user of the Narrawong Hall and with more and more young families in the area, the hall is an important venue for local families to gather.

Since the local store has closed it's doors this is the most important meeting and entertainment places in the area.

An important hub for the community - the kitchen needs to be up to par for us to continue to use it for ongoing events such as ANZAC Day breakfast as well as to make the hall more attractive for hiring out for celebrations, etc.

Worthy project to be up dated for our local community as this hall is used on a continual basis throughout the year and it's kitchen is showing it's age now. As there are no other halls for public use or even for our remembrance of ANZAC Day, a commitment to the refurbishment of our kitchen would go along way to ensure the halls existence and relevance for our community for many years to come.
