Netting will protect passers-by, trees and fences from loose balls.

Chadstone Lacrosse Club hosts home games most weekends during the winter season, April through September, and regularly hosts successful final series games during September. These are important promoting and fundraising days for the lacrosse club. The preferred set up of the fields is a north-south orientation for spectator viewing from the clubrooms, however unfortunately loose balls that cross the boundary line at the southern end at speed can be a danger to pedestrians, and can damage the mature trees and shrubs and neighbours fences that are in close proximity. Barrier netting will enable both communities to cohabit the Park.

Percy Treyvaud Memorial Park is a popular park for recreational use and the sealed path along the southern end is a key transport link for pedestrians and cyclists and is highly utilised by Chadstone shoppers and locals with park benches dotted along it aswell.
Stray balls can cross the path at speed, a netting solution will protect pedestrians, the mature trees and shrubs, and neighbours fences from damage from lacrosse balls on game day.

Fantastic project. Retractable nets (similar to cricket ones) won't detract from the aesthetics of the park, while providing improved safety for the community, park users, dog walkers, etc.
