School parents will be able to volunteer to host cooking sessions after school in the school function room which includes a full kitchen.

Each cooking host will book the space and post the date, time and recipe on the door at least a week in advance.

All school families and community members will be welcome to attend and bring their own appetites, ideas and take away containers.

At least four times per year the local indigenous community will be invited to host a cooking session using indigenous foods.

All members of the community will be able to share great foods from many regions and cultures.

By preparing and sharing meals across cultural boundaries, friendships and understanding will grow with full stomachs

By featuring at least one indigenous cook per term we will show respect to elders and ancestors

Our local community includes some impoverished families, and this will enable them to join in and enjoy a free and nutritious meal with fun and free from embarrassment

Any leftover meals can be stored overnight and shared with children who may not have lunch provided from home.
