Red Cliffs Golf Club - Multi-purpose sporting facility upgrade

The Red Cliffs Golf Club is a multi-purpose recreational facility providing golf, footgolf and camping ground. We provide the community with sporting and social opportunities for people of all ages, genders and cultures. The outdated club house was transported into place in the 1920’s. However, the current building still has a separate ‘associates’ (ladies) area with outdated amenities and limited disability access. The clubhouse would be redesigned to provide equal facilities for ALL with disability access and amenities that encourage inclusion. The clubhouse would be made available to all the community for social & fundraising events, meetings, conferences and celebrations.

The need to provide the Red Cliffs Community with a multi-purpose recreational/sporting facility has been identified at local, council, regional and state levels through:
• The Red Cliffs Community Plan 2016- 2021 - Improving our facilities and services.
• The Mildura Rural City Council ‘Community & Council Plan 2017-2021’ - ‘Increased access to a diverse range of quality sporting and recreation facilities and programs’
• The Mallee Regional Partnership - Improve Liveability by ‘invest in community infrastructure of the region to support healthy and active lifestyles’.
• The Victoria Regional Statement – ‘Investing in multi-purpose, accessible community sporting facilities’.
