Multi-purpose all-abilities sportsfield

This project will create a space for schoolchildren and the wider community to participate in sport and other outdoor activities and events. Lighting will maximise its use after school and on weekends.

The current old, rough, uneven asphalt surface will be replaced by a state-of-the-art surface that is wheelchair friendly.

The old, unsafe, basketball rings will be removed and new ones installed. Lighting will be installed to maximise its use and fencing will be installed to make the space safe for all users. Access will be via a keypad.

The project will benefit the community by promoting sport, health and fitness in the schools and the wider community. The local community can take advantage of this sports field by organising activities after hours and on Sundays. The surface will be wheelchair friendly promoting inclusiveness. The youth in our community will have a safe space to organise sports ‘friendlies’ and the community can utilise the space for events.
