Mount Wallace Hall Renovate Annex and Kitchen and Improve Playground

A renovated kitchen and annex will provide a complete experience for users of the hall including the community and those hiring the hall and reserve for functions. The kitchen is outdated an inadequate for even the simplest of meetings and functions. The annex is a great space but can be improved into a space for community socialising, corporate and community meetings and smaller functions. The older children in the community need some age specific playground equipment. These improvements will complement installation of a Pergola and Free Electric BBQ, Picnic Table and Seating (slab shown in foreground of photo).

Mount Wallace Hall is an important Hub for the communities of Mount Wallace, Beremboke, Yaloak, Fiskeville and Ballark. With the forced closure of the Fiskeville CFA Training college the local community lost an important hub and refuge when under threat from a natural disaster like Bush fire. The Hall has an outdated and inadequate kitchen for even the simplest of meetings or functions, and the adjoining annex will be better utilised once enclosed and a space created to cater for community, gatherings, events and socialising. The playground needs additional playground equipment and a shade structure to cater for older children.
