Using Save the Children's research informed MY Van and model, we will train up community, youth, health and education workers and volunteers across the region. They will understand the service philosophy and intended outcomes of the service, and how these are achieved through the resources on the van. The program will have the flexibility for local organisations to incorporate and deliver their own education, health and wellbeing outcomes through the mobile service. A project facilitator will manage and evaluate the trial, incorporating feedback from all stakeholders in the designs to sustain the model in the future. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8n6s84p85A

Young people, particularly in remote communities, will have access to a mobile, high quality education, health and wellbeing service. Data tells us that in East Gippsland the rates are higher for young people: being bullied; having emotional and behavioural difficulties; having depressive symptoms; and significantly higher rates of lifetime and recent alcohol use (The Wellbeing of Children and Young People East Gippsland Report 2018, Save the Children). A quality mobile youth service is an effective way to reach our isolated young people who are experiencing these risks and vulnerabilities. This trial aims to establish a collaborative approach to improving outcomes.

Brilliant Idea, Education around Health and Wellbeing, utilising a mobile van to reach out to our young people especially in rural and remote areas.
