Mobile Health Van

The Northern Metropolitan partnership of councils has prioritised to improved health and well-being within our communities through increased access to affordable clinical health and community services that cater to our culturally diverse community.

To do this, we will setup a mobile health van which will be accessible to the community, and travel between local community centres, hubs, and social housing sites. The van will provide primary health care services, health checks, education and nursing services for basic medical issues. Volunteers doctors and nurses from diverse backgrounds will operate the van.

The mobile health van will not only achieve improved health care outcomes for the most vulnerable members of the region, but also bridge the cultural barriers within the emerging refugee community. This will further benefit the community by reducing the load on emergency health services.
