A refrigerated mobile food pantry will distribute donated food from Wodonga's Foodshare and Birallee Park Neighbourhood House directly to where it is needed, delivering fresh produce, groceries and nutrition education to people in rural areas under served by healthy food providers, facing barriers to food access with lack of transport, isolation, illness or difficult economic circumstances. Delivery times will be advertised on mobile phones, social media, and in print. Fresh fruits and vegetables, and simple recipes will be offered " farmers' market style", and food workshops conducted, at distribution sites such as libraries, schools and community centers.

Small rural towns face food insecurity by isolation through distance, limited access to local healthy food providers, and rising obesity and diabetes, as communities rely on convenience foods low in nutrients. A mobile pantry removes these barriers by delivering directly to places of greatest need, at convenient times. By providing access to fresh produce, we reduce reliance on convenience foods, improving food choices. Informal workshops will show how to shop, cook and eat healthy on a limited budget, as we encourage new skills towards food security, and better health for everyone. This builds resilience, strengthening the ability to withstand emergencies.

Birallee Park Neighbourhood house volunteers and staff to grow their emergency food relief programme to where it is now, with their food is free carts, 25,000 free frozen meals for people in need it is not the time to rest on our laurels but we need your help to expand our programme to rural and remote villages and townships so add one or both of our programmes to your three prefered list and vote now then spread the word.
