Mininera Football Oval Irrigation System & Resurfacing project.

The football oval at Mininera is the heart of the local community, and has been for over 70 years..
We wish to replace the old manual sprinkler with an automated system, as well as level and re-seed the grass playing surface. These improvements will make the ground safer and more enjoyable to play on which will secure the clubs future as a sporting venue, and replace what is currently a very labour intensive watering process for our volunteer workforce with a much more efficient system.

By improving the playing surface of the football oval and reducing labour burden for volunteers we hope to make the surface safer for junior right through to senior players, as well as to make our club even more attractive to new players and their families.
A local oval that can easily and efficiently be kept green throughout summer could also be used as a staging ground for emergency services, as well as for other sporting, cultural and recreation pursuits.
