The facility will be situated in parkland adjacent to the sports oval of the recreation reserve. This parkland is freely accessible to all and frequently used by town residents,
a pony club, community groups, yearly events including shows and festivals.
The reserve also incorporates a free camping area that is frequently visited by caravans and R/V's.
The location of this installation is also situated near an established walking track and adjacent to a proposed rail trail.

The picnic and barbecue shelter will enhance the open space enabling the community to gather in family groups or as a whole to enjoy the benefits of being outdoors.
Importantly the shelter will be located near an existing amenity block.
The Merino Recreation Reserve is used for many community and sporting events which could only be enhanced by this facility - plus the improvement to the travelling visitors experience of the reserve created by this facility, attracting more, therefore benefiting local businesses and the town in general.

This will be great for people driving past for a BBQ and for the Kids to play in the Play ground.

Would be a fantastic compliment to the existing infrastructure and encourage more visitation by the caravan and camping community. A very pretty setting that can only be enhanced with this project.

This will be great for the many caravanners who stay in our town.
