The facilities of the Golf Club and the Post Office are run totally by volunteers helping their Community and providing a better place to live for all. This project gets my number one vote.

The Golf Club and Post Office are seeking support for a new building that is more inclusive and accessible for people with disabilities. Merbein Golf Club, formed in 1926, is a registered not for profit group maintained entirely by volunteers. We assist the Cabarita area by providing the community with postal services and 120 post boxes - all managed by volunteers. As a community hub, we also regularly hold events for the local community. The current building, while safe, is very difficult to be upgraded due to issues with asbestos and its age.
The new building will be more accessible and inclusive to current users of the golf club, post office and wider community. We need better change rooms for women, which would also help boost our membership. Our current building also has no wheelchair access. A new building will allow for a new post office for volunteers, and a club house that includes a function room, kitchen and accessible toilets. The club supports golfers, postal users, community members, local schools and disability groups. Please vote for us!

A new clubhouse / post office building will no doubt be greatly appreciated and fully
utilised not only by the Merbein Golf Club members, but by all the local Cabarita community.
The current clubhouse has well and truly now passed its use by date and should be
replaced as soon as possible.

Cabarita is rapidly becoming one of the most sought after areas to live in our region. This golf course has always been a centrepiece of Cabarita. Would be great to see new clubrooms for this historic golf club.

Always great to see improvement in Merbein, there tends to be a lot of improvement in Mildura but the surrounding towns don’t get a lot of attention. I hope they receive the funds to complete this great project.
