The project is to update existing play equipment and surrounds including gardens, trees and footpaths. The project will bring equipment up to current safety standards to ensure the safety of the Warragul North Primary School students. WNPS has over six hundred children who will benefit from the project. The children will use the space throughout the day including recess, lunch and organised fitness / physical education sessions.

The school has over six hundred students including four hundred families many of whom access the playgrounds during and after school hours and weekends. Many members of the local community also access the school playgrounds outside of school hours.

This play space is well used by many junior students in particular but it is so old that it is becoming dangerous and desperately needs to be replaced

Any older and marble alley would be heritage listed. Great for history lessons but better for everyone if it were made more user friendly.
