Mailor's Flat Hall Playground and Kitchen Upgrade

The extension to the existing playground, built in 2015, will provide a broader range of play opportunities, particularly for younger children and families. Elements for climbing, swinging, balancing, group play, along with sensory and nature play will be considered. There will be an opportunity for the community to have input into the design.

The Hall currently provides for a broad range of events and activities with a domestic style kitchen that has seen no improvement in around 20 years. The cabinetry and servery will be replaced and appliances to better suit the needs of a community facility will be implemented.

The existing play equipment is highly valued. With more young families moving to the community, the playground extension will provide more opportunities for play and recreation in the growing community. The Hall is used for community events, dances, special event gatherings, and playgroup. This years Biggest Morning Tea attracted over 100 people.

Volunteers supporting future events of this nature will benefit from a safer and more functional work space. The Hall is the community facility in Mailors Flat and the project will benefit the entire community and community groups locally and in the surrounding district.
