Louise Multicultural Community Centre (LMCC) Festival of Cultures

The LMCC Festival of Cultures will showcase and celebrate the diversity of the Whitehorse and wider communities through cultural performances and activities, music, language, arts, crafts and food. It will be a free and public event which will be held at the Box Hill Town Hall and surrounds. The festival will be accessible to all and will be actively promoted to the wider community. Performers, stall holders and community groups will be sought from the local and wider CALD communities to encourage wider participation. The project aims to showcase cultures across all the continents and celebrate diversity.

The project will benefit the local community by:
* Providing a free, safe and enjoyable community event
* Showcasing the vibrancy of CALD communities
* Fostering cross-cultural awareness, learning, understanding and respect
* Engaging and encouraging active participation from CALD communities
* Building capacity and experiences of CALD communities though participation
* Promoting social cohesion
* Promoting inclusion
* Providing opportunities for new partnerships
