2019 will be the second Longwood Beer, Wine & Cider Festival. This exciting outdoor event aims to showcase some of the region's craft breweries, local wineries and cider makers. Plus food vendors, produce and related vendors, live music and children's activities.
The event is run by the Longwood Football Netball Club in partnership with other local community groups, so it benefits the community.
Longwood is a small town of 150 people, 2018 had over 400 people attend the festival. In 2019 we hope to grow in numbers, which has people visiting the Strathbogie Shire for the weekend. Local businesses benefited due through meals and accomodation. Our aim of the festival was to be inclusive of local community groups - CFA, the Primary School, Football Netball Club and the recreational-centre group; along with local businesses that were our vendors to ensure the community benefited from the festival.
