Great project idea, Little River PS is our local school and we support this initiative. Would be great to see the playground upgraded, the skate park and basketball court that has been built in our community over the past few years get lots of use from families and an updated jungle gym would be another welcome development. My young grandson will get lots of use out of this in years to come.

Little River Primary School is located in the tiny and close-knit community of Little River, nestled between the edge of Melbourne and the city of Geelong.
The school playground and the small playing field are aging and in need of upgrade and repair. The playground was built for a school with an enrolment of under 100 and since grown to an enrolment role of 150.
Our project is to replace the deteriorating parts of the playground with fresh components and to supplement the school grounds with a fitness equipment circuit.
Small communities such as Little River have scarce resources and therefore work hard to share and collaborate. Community groups already work together to share school resources on major projects such as the annual Little River Country Fair.
The playground and playing field are already used by children and the wider community out of school hours.
We would aim to increase this usage with the creation of the fitness circuit which would have a wider appeal.
For example, there are several fitness groups in the area who would benefit from the circuit as well as the obvious advantage to the school.

An upgrade and refresh of the playground will be a great benefit to the children, the wider community and use as an addition area for activity based learnings programs such as The Leadership programs run for mid year students.

Little River PS leads the way in both education outcomes and inclusiveness. An upgrade of the existing equipment would provide huge benefits to not only the students but the wider community. As this school grows the facilities have become stretched thin, fundraising efforts by the school and community can only go so far, I fully support this project.

I am a local resident who would love to see these facilities upgraded. I went to this school myself as a child and now have a young son who would benefit from this project. It would be great to have some outdoor fitness equipment for all ages incorporated too.

Hi I'm a local resident, a mum of 2 boy's who attend the Little River School, and a local Personal Trainer.
As part of our community, I have been lucky enough to utilise our park and school equipment to run exercise classes for mums and children from our area. Updating our playground with a fun creative, fitness inspired theme would inspire and encourage all ages to play and be active outside, just for fun.
