We're bringing a patch of suburban wasteland back to life and turning it into a place for growing, learning and sharing with our neighbours. Our tool library and repair workshops, zero-waste community cafe, nature play spaces and community permaculture garden will help the people of Lalor grow food, community and sustainability skills.

Links Sustainability Park is truly open access. We're teaming up with schools, community groups, and social support services to make a space which everyone from our diverse community can own.

Links Community Garden is at the very heart of Lalor. It's designed to foster community connections in an area with a lot of new families from a variety of cultures, and older residents often living alone.

We're growing a warm and inviting space for people to learn from each other and share skills. We'll be growing, cooking, and sharing the harvest, working on getting it to those who need it most, making spaces for nature play and wildlife, running repair workshops and sustainability education, and providing spaces for outdoor social groups.

Its great to show young kids how to start looking after our environment and also learn about where our food comes from. Also interacting with other cultures in our community.

Amazing project, we need more like this in the community that inspires and engages all ages of the community. Encouraging social and environmental connections. Great opportunity to get children engaged

I am so happy that this project is bringing sustainability awareness to this community. I am all for spreading awareness in such a practical, educational and fun way. I have been eager to see more sustainability awareness in this community what a great start.

This is such a great project! It's so close to the Lalor train station and it will be great to see more families getting involved growing things in the garden and being a part of a sustainable community!

I can't believe how much Links Community Group has managed to achieve in a year, looking forward to seeing how the space grows and develops over the next year!
