With the installation of lights at our Bowling Centre, the community will be able to participate in the game of bowls during the evenings all year round. This project will allow the centre to be open to encourage the local community to enjoy the existing facilities available , which at the moment is only available during daylight hours. We would encourage the local community to use the facilities and equipment on a regular basis free of charge which we hope will not only deliver the local community with a sports activity but may also encourage players to join our club.

Having this facility available on evenings will allow many within our community to participate in sports activity that they normally would not be able to do during the week like corporates, students and workers. We would hope that this would encourage our diverse community to be active by playing sport that can be designed and varied to suit our community. Increased sports activity within our community is important to the health and wellbeing of people and we will embark on an active community participation program to communicate our offerings to the local people.

A definate advantage for the club if lights were installed. Many other clubs have lights installed and enjoy the longer playing times. This has been missing from the Bundoora RSL and if installed would attract not only new bowlers but also enhance the facilities that are aready in place. It would enable those who would like to play in a social setting after hours the opportunity. Currently when the sun goes down, so does the opportunity to bowl at our club. Lights would rectify this.

this will be a wonderful asset for all people in the Bundoora and surrounding area. -the young , teens and young adults, young families the more mature age group and disabled . Lawn bowls suits all people regardless of their abilities and to have fun in a safe friendly environment will be a very rewarding experience .Please give a tick for this project as the Club has been waiting so many years to have such a wonderful venue being fully utilised

At last, a project that gets the whole community involved, and brings the old town to life after dark! So much growth around here, and so little to do. Really looking forward to evening lawn bowls. Such a great community facility being under-utilized. Good car parking, club room facilities and now lights! Bewdie!!

A fantastic venue and a wonderful club that supports 3 generations. Lawn bowls is for all ages and the addition of lights at this venue would be nothing short of a bonus for the local community.
There's nothing better than on a summers evening as the sun has set, club members, families, friends, workmates and the local community, getting together and enjoying a fun and friendly environment, food, drinks and lots of laughs.
The club also has Premier Division and Division 1 teams that can showcase the top level of lawn bowls in the metro Melbourne area. This is a win win situation for all parties, lets get this happening!

Lawn bowls is a sport many associate as a sport for the elderly. This may have been in the past, but in more recent times many young people play the game and others although they would like to participate are restricted due to work commitments. Lights would not only benefit the current members, but would also be an attraction for people in the community considering taking up the sport. Lighting would give more people the opportunity to play the game. Sport is integral for a healthier community and bowls is a sport for everyone regardless of age

Lights would enable the club to be more available to those who want to play bowls but haven' t the time due to work commitments.

This would be instrumental in providing the local community members who work or cannot play traditional bowls days an opportunity to play the sport and meet new people. This would open up the opportunity to play corporate bowls , and a range of other forms of competition. It would also allow embers to practice and times that available to them. Lights would greatly enhance the current facility

Having lights installed would enable greater use of Bundoora Bowling Club facilities including the playing of Night Pennant and further developing Community Bowls programs.

I think this would definitely be of assistance to the Club as it will mean more people who work can play. It may also be possible to start a night competition in the future as in tennis.
