Upgrades to lighting along the shared user path, downstream of the current boat launching car park, will ensure this section of trail is well lit providing both increased amenity and safety outcomes. Currently this section of trail has minimal lighting and is utilised by many community members to access the train station in the early mornings and night during their daily commute to work. Lighting installed will need to be sympathetic to the adjoining residents living along the boundaries to the park. Lighting options to be explored to determine suitability will include solar and electrical.

Upgrades and installation of additional lighting in this section of the shared user path will provide increased safety outcomes for commuters accessing the train station in the early and late hours during their daily work commute. There has been previous requests for lighting to be installed along this section of pathway from both community members and also the local council.
