The level of lighting at the Inglewood Sports Centre is extremely poor for training purposes and fails to meet the current Australian Standards for both football and netball. As such the Inglewood Football Netball Club seeks to provide safe facilities both for our club and for other community and sporting groups who use the facilities. The provision of proper lighting facilities will support this aim.
Other groups such as tennis, cricket, karate, dance, Inglewood Alive Festival and emergency services (the sports oval is the Community Safe Place) will all benefit. The sports oval and netball courts are great open spaces for the community to utilise, but are limited to using in day light hours for best use. Although having lights, they are very dull and restrict use to two parts of the ground, which then causes problems with oval maintenance. The poor lighting also results in players at football and netball training getting headaches straining to see properly.

I would like to support the lighting upgrade at the Inglewood Sports Centre. The Centre is used by many groups who will benefit from the installation of improved lighting. Many players travel to Inglewood for training for both football and netball and the current lighting does not allow for the best conditions to train in. The complex, with the improved lighting will benefit the Inglewood & Districts community.
This project will improve our community facility enormously and will make it a safer place to train and undertake a range of other activities. As mentioned the recreation reserve is our 'Neighbourhood Safer Place' a Bushfire Place of Last Resort so it would be most beneficial to upgrade the level of lighting.
Communities and Facilities are the hub and thriving base that brings people together. I support this project and it’s benefits to Inglewood and wider community.
With such poor lighting the standard of training has been below par making it hard for footballers to train to a standard required for maxium benefit and success. The community in general with also benefit from this. # light us up
We need lights!!
Inglewood needs these facilities to move into the future. These new facilities would bring about an exciting new chapter to the Inglewood sporting community. If you build it, they will come!
Please give us lights it sucks training in the dark
Every vote counts, Desperately needed!!
This project will support the improvement of the Inglewood Football Netball Club, but will also benefit the wider community. The recreation reserve is the local Safe Place site so good lighting will make it safer. So many other community groups will benefit from this project.
Great project that the whole community would benefit from
Small communities come together through sports and this would benefit the Inglewood teams immensely.
We need better lighting to get where we need to be because we are comming from a long way back and want top class facilities to help build a strong club.
This upgrade will take the inglewood community into the future, it will also ensure the football netball club can proceed to grow for another 140+ years. providing a great training/function sporting venue for all to enjoy.
The club desperately needs new lights as it is very hard to see when training, both unsafe and restricting the level of training both football and netballers can practice.
Other clubs across the region have recently had lights upgraded and I think Inglewood should be the next in line.
Cheers
The club will be able too recruit big name players if the have better training facilities! I look forward too training under the new lights!
Sport plays a massive role in shaping the lives of our youth, such an important project for the entire community
Better lighting will improve player safety during training. I fully support this project.
Training facilities play a big part in attracting and retaining quality players from juniors through to seniors to help keep this 142 year old community club going strong into the future. Go Woodies!
Super hope this is successful
So excited about this project! This is a great asset for our community and we could fully maximise its usage by improving the facilities.
Inglewood is the largest town in the loddon shire and is still growing we meed the best faculties to attract further grwth
I fully support the lighting upgrade at the Inglewood Sports Centre. The Sports Centre is used by may user groups who will benefit from the lighting upgrade immensely. The Inglewood Sports Centre complex has and continues to undergo many transformations that will benefit the Inglewood & Districts communities.

The current lights were installed in the 1970s and only cover half the oval, which can be dangerous when training in half darkness.
Lights can be used 'in case of emergency ' to help guide an air ambulance to the town. Lights could be used for community if an evacuation is needed, this is the safest place for families and even pets and horses if needed in case of fire nearby.
Lights could also help facilitate a large concert or festival, for fundraising any community event.
Lights are an important upgrade that not only benefits the football club but could be used all year for lots of events not even possible to think about now.
Inglewood needs these new lights, pick us please.
