To ensure a range of small and large communities had the opportunity to be part of Pick My Project, no more than 50 per cent of a regional partnership areas funding was awarded to one local government area (LGA). As a result this project was unsuccessful.

South Warrnambool Football Netball Club, is an all-inclusive sporting club. A broad scope of users come under the club banner, including the All Abilities team “South Warrnambool Hurricanes” and South Warrnambool Senior and Junior Female football teams. These participants are now enjoying upgraded lighting provided at the football oval.
Unfortunately the netball teams are "in the dark" in terms of adequate lighting at the courts. A combined total of over 120 netball participants currently train under poor lighting every week.
Upgraded court lighting gives South Warrnambool FNC the opportunity to provide netball teams with facilities of equal quality to football.

South Warrnambool Football Netball Club, is committed to providing opportunities to all members of the community regardless of gender, race or ability, through the All Abilities and Female football teams.
Upgraded lighting to the courts allows the opportunity to implement an All Abilities netball side into the clubs vision, providing more opportunities for every member of our community to participate in sport.
South Warrnambool FNC is committed to providing adequate, safe and equatable facilities to all its members and the wider community, male or female regardless of ability, in turn enriching our club and community through greater participation.

Netball is a massive sport in this area and the facilities need to keep up with the scores of women and children who partake in this great sport.

This is a very worthwhile project and would be of great benefit to the youth of Warrnambool

Night training can be introduced for the Netball Teams whose Players are only available after 6.00pm and later due to work commitments, for training during the winter months which is when they play.

Much needed to improve training facilities for under 12s to open grades of netball, meaning that all members can stay at their home ground and socialise with each other after training.

Well needed funds to upgrade the facilities at the friendlies!

It's an important facility with inadequate lighting. It is used by many teams in the South West.

I think that this would be a very worth while project as it not only promotes women’s sport but it is also based on safety.
