Light up Templestowe Park Tennis Club's courts

Templestowe Park Tennis Club is over 100 years old, accessed for tennis as well as social gatherings, mothers groups, fitness activities, music activities, school groups and anything more we can offer. Our tennis courts are used mostly in the evenings when people get home from work. Due to the growing need of courts under lights our top priority is to light our two courts that are in the dark after 5pm (in winter) and therefore just sit there unused for 5 hours a night.

If we allow free play, this will enable an additional 8 people an hour to play tennis - say everyone played for an hour and a half a night, that's an extra 24 people a night we could service - 168 per week!

If we ran a program like Cardio Tennis, FAST4 Tennis or our First to 8 competition, we would be able to service over 60 people a night - 420 a week!

Therefore we would have the availability to provide what we already do - healthy, social, active activities - to include more of the community.
