Light and Power for Tallangatta Sports Centre

The project involves new lighting for the sports oval powered by a new solar installation. The solar panels will power not only new lights but also the sports centre, function room, Tallangatta pool buildings and pump house. Battery storage will provide year round savings. Eventually the entire recreation hub, including bowls, tennis, hockey, secondary college, cricket, football, swimming could all be part of a completely sustainable energy centre.

Tallangatta Sports Centre is the hub of the local community. It is used by many families and the local schools. Recreation is the lifeblood of this small rural township and our family friendly facilities are used every week to help keep our young people healthy and active. The project will greatly enhance the capacity of the venue to be used for even more community activity.
