Establish a permanent space for a quilting machine and other sewing equipment and delivery of workshops and community engagement on creative quilting projects. Purchasing of quilting machine and materials. Workshop delivery fees of expert quilters. Establishing an online presence to engage the community through social platforms, forums and groups for marketing and development of an artistic quilting community locally.

The Quilt Barn will be established in consultation with the Country Women’s Association and the Victorian Quilters Inc. Australia who are able to draw together people in the community with a desire to develop quilting skills. Ensuring that sewing, quilting and creating handmade artisan heirlooms are retained and passed on to future generations in this community. Laurimar Quilt barn has the support of the local Nana's group, which is a Facebook group of eleven thousand members based in Doreen. This group will be our core base to start the project and ensure ongoing operations of the quilt barn.
